Aaron Murray sees a big season again for Georgia between the seasoned experience with Carson Beck, Mike Bobo’s addition and the weapon of Brock Bowers, who Murray calls one of the “best chess pieces in America.”

But Murray, during a segment on “McElroy and Cubelic In the Morning” on WJOX, also believes that Beck can believe that he has more talent around him than Stetson Bennett had, and therefore, “I don’t need to be Superman to win a championship. I just need to be efficient and I think he’s going to do that.”

Georgia fans, who have been known to be divided over Bennett, may have found a new figure to debate.

“Another big factor which gives me confidence is (Mike) Bobo. Call me crazy, but I think Bobo has a chip on his shoulder,” Murray said. “I think there’s a … decent-sized group that was not happy with the hire when (Todd) Monken left for Baltimore. And they were saying, ‘Why would you hire Bobo?’ Just stupidity honestly. So I think Bobo’s going to go out there and show people why he deserves to be the offensive coordinator at Georgia. I think he’s going to let that thing rip and I think you’re going to see probably one of the most efficient offenses in the country.”

Surprisingly, Murray also said this could be the best defense Georgia’s had in the last 3 seasons.

“I think they have a chance to (be), I think they return a lot of guys on all 3 levels that should give Georgia fans a lot of confidence that this could be just as good if not better than the past 2,” he said. “… That’s the biggest part to me.”
