Aaron Murray has a message for the haters: Stetson Bennett has a case to win the Heisman Trophy.

Murray, a former Georgia quarterback now an analyst for ESPN and SiriusXM, shared another video on the current Bulldog QB as a Heisman finalist ahead of Saturday night’s ceremony in New York City. Much of the debate has centered around whether Bennett belongs as 1 of the 4 finalists. Murray makes the case for Bennett to win the top individual award.

“Alright, I know there’s a lot of complaining going on about Stetson being in New York tonight. He deserves it, and he may actually win it tonight,” Murray said. “You wanna know why? Because we talk about ‘Heisman moments.’

“We talk about the big games: what do you do? And Stetson, in the biggest games of the season – LSU, Oregon to start the season off, Tennessee against the guy that everyone wants to be there, Hendon Hooker, who did not play well in that big-time moment, Stetson played great in those games. Mississippi State, South Carolina, all these Top 25 teams, he took his game to that Heisman level. I believe Hendon should be there and another guy should not be there, but I won’t get into that, this is why Stetson deserves to be in New York tonight.

Murray continued, “Big time moments, he played like a Heisman Trophy winner. It’s not his fault his defense is elite. It’s not his fault he’s not asked to throw 4 or 5 touchdowns. He’s on the best team in America. He is The Man, The Mailman, The Milk Man. Heisman tonight. Go Stetson!”

We’re only hours away from finding out if this year’s Heisman winner is Bennett, Max Duggan, C.J. Stroud or Caleb Williams.
