Andrew Thomas has agreed to a record-breaking contract extension with the New York Giants, according to a report.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Thomas and the Giants have agreed to an extension worth $117.5 million over 5 years. Thomas’ contract includes $67 million in guaranteed money, which is a record for an offensive lineman.

Thomas is already under contract for the next 2 seasons, which means his new deal will keep him with the Giants through the 2029 season:

Thomas was the No. 4 overall pick out of Georgia in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has quickly become one of the most consistent offensive tackles in the NFL.

He has started 44 of his 45 career games in the NFL. Thomas earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2022 for his efforts.

According to Pro Football Focus’ WAR, Thomas was the NFL’s most valuable offensive tackle last season.

Thomas is one of the first players from the 2020 draft class to receive a significant, longterm extension. Justin Herbert and the Chargers also agreed to a longterm extension on Tuesday night.

Thomas and the Giants will begin preseason action on Aug. 11 against the Lions.
