Coming off an SEC Championship and a National Championship Game appearance, Georgia really took care of the man that got the program to those heights in only his second season in Athens. For his incredible accomplishments early in his head coaching career, UGA took care of Kirby Smart.

While we’ve known that Georgia and Smart agreed to a seven-year, $47 million dollar deal, the specific details of that deal were not known publicly until Friday.

Smart will also have a $6 million buyout for the next two seasons at Georgia. That figure drops to $4 million in 2020 and drops an addition $1 million every remaining year of the deal.
