Arch Manning will be taking in some SEC football this Saturday.

The most talked-about recruit in the sport is heading to Athens for the Georgia-South Carolina game, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports.

“Georgia is good this year,” Manning told Wiltfong. “Beat Clemson week one and then had a good showing against UAB with Stetson (Bennett). So I’m just excited. Kirby is a really good coach and I’m excited to get up there and see what game is all about in Athens.

“That’s definitely more of a pro-style offense than some colleges. I’m excited and Coach (Todd) Monken is a really good coach and I think they’re going to have a good year and it’s going to be cool watching them in person. Athens is really cool. That was probably the coolest college town there is. Coach Kirby he has a good program. He’s a really laid-back good guy and seems like a guy I want to play for.”

The SEC legacy is the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. In June, Manning notably visited Georgia as well as Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Texas, SMU and Clemson.

Manning has already passed for over 4,000 yards with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 53-to-13 in two seasons of high school football. His junior season at Isidore-Newman is scheduled to open Friday against West St. John.
