Every now and then, there are two well-known people who just have a striking resemblance. And as the sports seasons in Georgia overlap between Atlanta Braves season, and Georgia football season, some fans may have noticed two similar-looking guys on their televisions lately.

Braves pitcher Mark Melancon took a side-by-side comparison of himself and Georgia special teams coordinator Scott Cochran and added, “cat’s out of the bag. @coachyeah and I will be going as each other for Halloween this year. Next year we’ll both be @BrockLesnar.”

Since Melancon is a free agent, it’s unclear if Braves fans will see him in a hometown uniform next year and beyond, but Cochran is in his first season with the Bulldogs, so Georgia fans are just getting used to the high energy coach.

Cochran was previously the strength coach at Alabama from 2007 to last season, and reportedly tried to be in the mix for a job on Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss staff last offseason as a position coach, and also reportedly interviewed for position roles with the New York Giants and Michigan State.

About two months ago, he shared why he made the move from Alabama to Georgia.

“I think everything happens for a reason,” Cochran shared. “Timing is everything and, at the time, I felt like I was in a good place. Now, I feel like I’m in a great place! I think timing has everything to do with it and, for me, right now is the time. I’m just excited about [this] opportunity.”
