Bear Alexander didn’t take too long to make up his mind in regards to his transfer commitment. Nearly a week after entering the transfer portal, Alexander announced his plans for 2023.

Alexander was a former 4-star DL from the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite and committed to Georgia originally. Alexander played in 12 games for the Bulldogs this past season, but ultimately decided to hit the portal in April.

Alexander took to social media to announce that he’ll be playing for USC in 2023. In the video, Alexander stated that he wants to stay on the west coast before choosing USC.

Alexander accounted for 9 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks in 2022 with the Bulldogs.

As a recruit, Alexander was the No. 9 DL and No. 9 recruit from Florida in his class. USC actually offered Alexander back when he was a high schooler. The only other Pac-12 program to offer Alexander was Oregon.

Georgia won its second-straight national title in 2022 after dominating TCU by a score of 65-7. Alexander recorded 2 total tackles and 1 sack in the game.

USC football finished with an 11-3 record under Lincoln Riley in year one. It looks like Alexander will be playing for a different shade of red in 2023.
