Brock Bowers was considered one of the most NFL-ready prospects in last season’s draft, as the Las Vegas Raiders took him with the No. 13 overall pick.

The Raiders took him with the expectation that he would contribute immediately, and that is just what has happened through 2 weeks.

With his start to the season, Bowers is off to as good of a start as any tight end in Raiders franchise history.

In Week 1, Bowers had 6 catches for 58 yards, and he has been even better in Week 2 with 9 catches for 98 yards as the Raiders are battling the Baltimore Ravens.

The Raiders are a team that is lacking when it comes to playmakers. Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, but the team has been in need of another option in the passing game.

While it has been only 2 weeks, Bowers and quarterback Gardner Minshew appear to be developing a very good rapport. Bowers was tied with Adams with those 9 catches in the game against the Ravens.

Bowers will look to continue his great start next week as the Raiders as he plays in his first career home game as Las Vegas hosts the winless Carolina Panthers.
