Will Georgia hang on to five-star commit Broderick Jones?

Based on his latest tweet, things are looking good for the Bulldogs.

The nation’s No. 2-rated offensive tackle in the 2020 recruiting cycle has been committed to Kirby Smart’s program dating back to April 26 of 2018 but following the departure of offensive line coach Sam Pittman to Arkansas, Jones did not sign with Georgia during the Early Signing Period.

While Jones has downplayed the impact of Pittman’s departure in Athens when it comes to his recruitment, the fact of the matter is he could have ended any drama surrounding his recruitment by signing with the Bulldogs back in December. After deciding not to do so, Jones has taken official visits to Arkansas and Illinois in recent weeks before taking his latest official visit to Athens over the weekend.

Following the visit to Georgia, Jones tweeted out this message:

“Thanks UGA for a great weekend! #stillcommitted”

That’s obviously great news for Georgia fans but it must be noted that Jones is scheduled to make one final official visit before National Signing Day. The five-star recruit from Lithonia, Ga., is set to be in Auburn next weekend, and with the Tigers considered the biggest threat to flip Jones from Georgia, his recruitment could still go down to the wire.
