Georgia linebacker decommits from Colorado after receiving scholarship offer from Kirby Smart's program
It’s safe to assume Carlton Madden was holding out hope that Georgia would extend a scholarship offer his way during his college recruitment.
After being committed to Colorado since February, the Cedar Grove High School standout announced his decision to decommit from CU just days after landing a scholarship offer from Kirby Smart’s program.
Here is what the Ellenwood, Ga., native shared after making his decision to decommit from Colorado.
“After discussion and prayer with my family, I will be decommitting from the Unversity of Colorado. I made the decision to commit back in February and many things have changed along the way. I’m looking to explore a few more options and making sure I make the right choice. I want to thank the whole coaching and recruiting staff for all the love and support.”
The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Madden is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 37 edge defender in the country and the No. 82 overall prospect from the state of Georgia in the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
In addition to landing an offer from Georgia, Madden also landed a scholarship offer from Ole Miss.
