Carson Beck had his best game as a Georgia quarterback, and he didn’t even know how good the numbers were.

Beck finished 28-for-35 passing for 389 yards with 4 touchdowns and an interception. Most notably, Beck completed his first 14 passes.

“Early on it felt like nothing could go wrong,” Beck said on ESPN. “We were completing the ball everywhere, guys were making plays. Good yards after the catch. I felt like I was holding the ball back there forever. Had great protection.”

Beck was unaware of his eye-popping numbers.

“One of the things we’ve been trying to get after is to have a strong start, obviously we haven’t had one and it’s been a huge emphasis for us,” Beck said. “I’m trying to approach the game a little bit differently coming into it and try to have that energy coming out in the first quarter, first half. To be able to have that success early was really good for the team.”

Beck said his confidence is in a good place, and will continue to improve each game.

“Nothing’s perfect, I had the pick, too,” he said. “Just go back, learn, and then continue to improve each game.”
