Carson Beck threw his 4th interception of the season late against Vanderbilt as Georgia tried to ice a victory in Nashville.

CJ Taylor picked off Beck and returned the ball to the 1-yard line where Beck forced him out of bounds, but Taylor immediately grabbed at his knee.

Sedrick Alexander scored with 6:14 remaining to cut the deficit to 30-20, as a 2-point conversion attempt was knocked down.

At the end of the return, Taylor tried to extend the ball over a pylon, but instead fell to the turf after a collision with Beck with 6:17 remaining.

That was a key development after Vanderbilt elected to punt after its previous drive ended at its own 28-yard line.

This was another tough scenario for Georgia, which dealt with key injuries in the game to the likes of Brock Bowers, Xavier Truss and Kendall Milton, who all left the game.

Daijun Edwards responded with a short rushing touchdown to answer Vanderbilt’s score, and make it Georgia 37-20 with less than 4 minutes remaining.
