Carson Beck is in his 2nd season as the starting quarterback for Georgia. Through Week 12, it’s safe to say that this 2nd season has gone quite as well as the 1st.
FOX’s Bruce Feldman revealed that NFL teams have noticed Beck’s struggles and are not impressed. The veteran reporter says that NFL scouts used to see Beck as a 1st-round pick but now see the QB as a “middle-round guy.”
Coming into this season, QBs like Beck, Quinn Ewers, Shedeur Sanders, and others were considered the top QB prospects. Now, Beck appears to be falling behind the pack.

Beck has an SEC-high 14 turnovers this season. The QB has thrown for 2,488 yards with 17 TDs and 12 INTs ahead of Week 12. This is compared to last season when Beck finished with 3,941 passing yards, 24 TDs, and 6 INTs.
Feldman asked scouts why Beck has struggled this season.
“What has been exposed is a lack of mobility, that, combined with a lack of poise in the pocket, has been very, very concerning,” explained Feldman.
Additionally, the QB doesn’t have the dynamic weapons at his disposal that he had in 2023.
“On top of that, there is no Brock Bowers. There is no Ladd McConkey. You see a guy who’s really, really pressing,” Feldman added.
Beck will have a chance to impress scouts once again in Week 12 when the Bulldogs take on the Tennessee Volunteers.
