CBS Sports analyst Danny Kanell names his 'biggest problem' with Georgia
Saturday’s Georgia-Kentucky game looked like an old-school, smash-mouth football game. It was low scoring, both teams were running the ball and both passing games looked awful.
That, unfortunately, has been a bit of a trend for Georgia in recent years, and many analysts are wondering if it could cost the Bulldogs.
On Thursday, CBS Sports analyst Danny Kanell tweeted that his biggest problem with Georgia is that the Bulldogs’ passing game hasn’t developed, even as many offenses are putting up record numbers through the air:
My biggest problem with Georgia has been it's lack of evolving their pass game. They're still playing like it's 2000 not 2020
Since 2017 they have only surpassed 300 pass yds in a game FOUR times
Florida has done it 3x this year
Bama has gone over 400 yards 4x this year alone!— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) November 5, 2020
Many fans are starting to wonder if Stetson Bennett IV is still Georgia’s best option at quarterback. Meanwhile, Florida has a legit Heisman contender at QB in Kyle Trask.
Can Trask lead the Gators to victory on Saturday? Or, will Bennett and the Georgia offense do just enough to win once again?
