Georgia has beaten Tennessee in each of the last 3 meetings. Is this the Volunteers’ year to break the streak, or can the Bulldogs make it 4 in a row?

According to the crew on CBS Sports Network’s “Inside College Football”, the Dawgs will continue their mastery of the Vols for at least another year. Aaron Taylor, Brian Jones, Rick Neuheisel and Randy Cross all picked Georgia to win on Saturday during Tuesday’s episode of the program.

“The addition of Cade Mays with Trey Smith has meant that Tennessee wants to be a power physical, running football team, and they’ve been able to do it. The problem is they’re going up a Georgia defense that’s been rushed on 50 times and only allowed a little over 2 yards per carry,” said Aaron Taylor.

“That (Georgia) defense has been the most impressive side of the ball,” Rick Neuheisel added. “They fly around and play beautiful…There’s not a lot of explosion in (Tennessee’s) offense, [and] I don’t see it happening against this defense.”

“[Over] the last 3 years Georgia’s beaten Tennessee by an average of 32 points per game…If you have one shining part of the Tennessee gameplan that better come through, it’s Jarrett Guarantano,” said Randy Cross. “Last year he faced 3 ranked teams in Bama, Georgia and Florida and completed 47 percent of his passes. Going to have to do a lot better than that and not turn the ball over.”

“As much as I like [Tennessee], and they are back, I have to go with Georgia in this ballgame,” Brian Jones added. “Stetson Bennett IV…this dude, he fit the part (against Auburn), he was confident, everything that Bo Nix was not.”
