CFB media salivating over Georgia's recruiting haul featuring slew of 5-stars
Georgia’s recruiting success was the highlight of early signing period Wednesday as the Bulldogs reeled in six 5-star prospects.
Kirby Smart and top assistants Sam Pittman and Dell McGee drew plenty of praise for a slew of 5-stars, including linemen Jamaree Salyer, Cade Mays and Brenton Cox. They went with more established Georgia recruits who committed to the Bulldogs months ago, including running back Zamir White and quarterback Justin Fields, who is the No. 1 player in the country.
SEC Network analysts Greg McElroy and Paul Finebaum each gave Georgia big compliments in light of the SEC and across the country. Finebaum event said that this the first time Alabama has a legitimate contender.
Here is a collection of how several college football media members viewed what Georgia did on the first early signing period:
The most impressive part of UGA’s recruiting class is the emphasis on bringing in elite players at “Premier” positions.
QB – ✔️
OL – ✔️
DL – ✔️Those are the most important positions that you must have to win Championships and @FootballUGA is cleaning up.

If I had to buy stock in 2 College Football teams moving forward over the next 5 years, it is Georgia and Clemson. Dabo already proving it and now Kirby building a monster!

Georgia’s day today coupled with success in Year 2 under Kirby Smart is more proof that it has the potential to be the best college football coaching job in the country.

The fear is becoming a reality.
Kirby Smart is a monster in recruiting and Georgia High School football is fish in a barrel for him. https://t.co/6mtBVAr3hd— Jim Dunaway (@jimdunaway) December 20, 2017
Georgia is putting together a ridiculous recruiting class. Scary to think how good the program currently is and where it should be in a couple years. Also, Bulldogs are going to be Running Back U before long (if not already).#NationalSigningDay

Georgia has landed 7 top-30 recruits for the Class of 2018. That is the most in a single class for any school in the ESPN 300 era (since 2006).

Georgia up to No. 1 on Rivals, No. 2 on 247Sports. https://t.co/SIIvzSLOQM
