The Georgia Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings, and have been for the last two weeks.
While many wonder if No. 2 Alabama should be the top team, the CFP committee is certainly impressed with what Georgia has done under coach Kirby Smart.
On “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Wednesday, CFP Executive Director Bill Hancock explained that he and other committee members think that Georgia’s Week 2 win over Notre Dame was the best win by any team this season:
"Georgia's win over Notre Dame is the biggest game we've looked at as a committee. It's the biggest victory anyone has had all season of course" – @BHancockCFP pic.twitter.com/ju1NR8a0wy

Georgia can pick up another very impressive road win this weekend, as the Bulldogs travel to Auburn to take on the No. 10 Tigers. If the Dawgs improve to 10-0, they’ll likely remain in the No. 1 spot next week, even if No. 2 Bama wins at No. 16 Mississippi State.
Whatever happens this weekend, the CFP committee will have its work cut out for it. Fortunately for Georgia, it has one of the most-impressive wins of the year already under its belt.
