The Chicago Bears drafted former Georgia WR Riley Ridley, brother of former Alabama and current Atlanta Falcons star WR Calvin Ridley, in Round 4 of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Ridley has been with the Bears each of the last 2 seasons, playing in 10 games and recording 10 catches for 108 yards.

But, on Tuesday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Bears were releasing the former Bulldog in their quest to finalize their 53-man roster for the 2021 season:

The Bears have a new quarterback tandem in Justin Fields and Andy Dalton heading into this season. We’ll see if it helps the offense improve.

Now, though, Ridley is looking for a new NFL team ahead of the 2021 season. We’ll see if he finds a new squad (or perhaps reunites with his brother in Atlanta).
