SEC Network analyst Chris Doering predicted that Kentucky will beat Georgia in 2022.

Doering was part of a segment on the SEC Network in which he was supposed to make a bold prediction and he made a very bold prediction for the Wildcats. Kentucky is scheduled to host Georgia on Nov. 19.

“I’m taking the Kentucky Wildcats on the 19th of November, as the Georgia Bulldogs come to Lexington, Kentucky knocking off Georgia, the defending national champions,” Doering said.

Doering doubled down by reiterating his prediction:

“I’m looking in the camera here. November 19th, Kentucky over Georgia.”

If Doering is correct, an upset win over Georgia could have an impact on the SEC East standings in late November. Perhaps, it could even impact the SEC Championship Game.

Georgia is on a 12-game winning streak against Kentucky. The last time Kentucky beat Georgia was in 2009. The closest game between Kentucky and Georgia was in 2016 when Georgia won by three points, 27-24. That was Kirby Smart’s first season as Georgia’s head coach and Georgia beat Kentucky by double digits in each of the last five meetings since 2017.

In last season’s meeting, Georgia won at home by 17 points, 30-13. Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett passed for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. If Doering is correct, his prediction could turn out to be the biggest upset in 2022.
