Georgia football video coordinator Jeremy Klawsky survived a real scare recently as the 32-year-old got to go home on Thursday after six weeks in Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Like so many others around the world. Klawsky contracted the coronavirus and needed to go to the hospital to beat it.

While at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Klawsky needed to intubated just to survive.

“He was critically ill with COVID-19, being the hospital’s first patient who needed to be intubated as a result of virus complications,” hospital officials said according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

Now that he’s starting to heal up, Klawsky was able to finally go home on Thursday after six weeks in the hospital. Little did he know he would be cheered out the door by hospital personnel.

Outside, Klawsky was greeted by many in the Athens community, including Kirby Smart and AD Greg McGarity.

Piedmont Healthcare shared video of Klawsky finally getting to go home.
