Could Georgia miss the CFP? Fans, media sound off after loss to Ole Miss

Georgia suffered a 28-10 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday to drop to 7-2 on the season.

The road to the College Football Playoff just got tougher for the Bulldogs. Their hopes of getting there won’t completely end with the loss to the Rebels, but it’s on a knife’s edge right now, especially with a must-win Week 12 game versus Tennessee on the horizon.

Simply put, the Bulldogs didn’t play well against the Rebels — certainly not befitting of a team that has hopes of winning a third national championship in four seasons. Carson Beck threw for 186 yards and no touchdowns as the Bulldogs offensive managed just a touchdown and a field goal on the day. Nate Frazier and Trevor Etienne combined for 18 carries and 71 yards, a good, but not great, total.

And now the conversation shifts to Week 12 against the Vols. A win keeps the Dawgs in the running for a Playoff spot, at least in an at-large discussion. A loss, though, shuts the door on that possibility once and for all.

Social media — both media and fans — chimed in on the possibility of Georgia being left out of the College Football Playoff, with some of that reaction below:
