Some unfortunate news out of Nashville as Tennessee Titan rookie offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson has been placed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list.

The team announced the news on Tuesday.

This designation does not mean Wilson is slated to miss any significant action, like being put on the normal injury reserve would mean, but it indicates Wilson has either tested positive for COVID-19 or was in close contact with someone that recently did test positive for the virus.

The NFL is not allowed to indicate which players have tested positive for COVID-19.

Following this news, Wilson is likely going to miss 10-14 days but the exact timeline of his absence from the Titans has not been made clear at this time.

The Titans selected Wilson in the first round with the No. 29 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in Athens before leaving school early to declare for the draft during the offseason.

Fortunately for Wilson, the Titans are not set to open the season until Sept. 14 at Denver. Considering that the opener is over a month away, Wilson has plenty of time to make his training camp debut before the Titans’ opener against the Broncos.
