The Georgia Bulldogs are a team that has benefitted from recruiting highly ranked high school prospects. Lately, they’ve also benefited from the transfer portal.

While quarterback JT Daniels is the most noticeable recent transfer, he isn’t the only transfer that will impact the team in 2021.

Bulldogs defensive coordinator Dan Lanning complimented former Clemson cornerback Derion Kendrick and former West Virginia safety Tykee Smith. On Tuesday, Lanning has this to say about his talented players (via Dawg Nation):

“I think they’re both really instinctual players. They’re not coming in unpolished. Certainly excited about those two guys.”

Kendrick started multiple years for the Tigers. This past season, Kendrick was named first-team All-ACC. Smith is a former starting safety for the Mountaineers, where he was named second-team All-Big 12 by the media this past season.

Both Kendrick and Smith have the experience and the talent to impact this Bulldogs’ defense this season.
