David Pollack was an All-American linebacker at Georgia over 2 decades ago, but he knows a little something about offense, too, and he can see that his beloved Bulldogs’ offense just hasn’t been quite right this season.

Pollack was an ESPN college football analyst for many years before being laid off by the network last year, so he’s also used to giving his opinion on all things college football. When it comes to his alma mater, Pollack is particularly passionate, and in this case he’s not particularly optimistic about Georgia’s offense getting much better in 2024.

“A lot of frustration when you watch Georgia and their offense this season,” said Pollack. “I don’t expect it to get fixed. … If you’re waiting for Georgia to change and for Georgia to all of a sudden become explosive, I don’t think that’s going to happen.”

Pollack did also note that this Saturday night’s showdown against Tennessee is at home, and that the game in general can be different when you’re at home. So perhaps the Bulldogs offense is in line for a bounce-back performance against the Volunteers after last week’s dud at Ole Miss. Still, Pollack said that doesn’t mean Georgia is going to be cured offensively even if it does beat Tennessee.

The Volunteers and Bulldogs will kick things off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC, with all kinds of College Football Playoff implications riding on the result.
