Demello Jones is staying home. The standout ATH from Swainsboro, Georgia has committed to play for Kirby Smart’s program.

Jones announced his pledge to Georgia via his Twitter account Friday.

Jones is listed at 6-1, 176 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Jones is rated 4-stars, the No. 18 ATH, No. 28 Peach State recruit and No. 194 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

Jones has the multi-position “ATH” designation as a prospect who has signed on both sides of the ball. Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown was UGA’s lead recruiter for Jones, suggesting Jones’ future is in the secondary with the Bulldogs.

So far in his recruitment, Jones has picked up scholarship offers from 27 schools. On Feb. 20, Jones included Georgia in his top 10, along with Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
