One of the more anticipated games of the season is next week, and ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ will be on hand to promote the non-conference clash.

The network announced that the pregame show would be in Athens, Georgia for the Notre Dame-Georgia game, an 8 p.m. kickoff on CBS. This marquee matchup features the No. 3-ranked team in Georgia and the No. 7-ranked team in Notre Dame in the latest Associated Press poll.

Ticket sales for the unique matchup have skyrocketed and are reportedly in the several hundred dollar range on secondary markets. There are also reports of Airbnb rentals going for some $2,000 per night in the Athens area.

Seating in Sanford Stadium will be expanded for the game because Georgia has to offer Notre Dame room for its allotted 8,000 tickets that Georgia promised the Fighting Irish when this home-and-home series was set. Sanford Stadium will need to be expanded by 500 seats.

The 2017 game at Notre Dame brought an influx of Georgia fans to watch the Bulldogs beat the Fighting Irish behind then-freshman QB Jake Fromm in his first career start.
