Things look very different across the SEC in the midst of the 2023 college football season, and while Alabama appears to be heading down a fall from glory, Georgia is on an upswing that could make it the sport’s next dynasty team.

The ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) recently predicted the outcome for Georgia’s next game against South Carolina, as it does for every college football contest on a weekly basis. It gives the Bulldogs a 91.8% chance to beat the Gamecocks.

With an improved Spencer Rattler at the helm, South Carolina has the perfect opportunity to make a statement with an upset victory. However, it’s hard to see a scenario in which that happens with just how much of a sustained roll the Dawgs have been on over recent seasons.

The Bulldogs won their first two matchups of the year, claiming a 45-3 victory over Ball State and a 48-7 win over UT-Martin. This will be the first SEC game of the year so far for either program.

The Gamecocks are coming off of a 47-21 win over Furman in Week 2 and a 31-17 loss to UNC in the season-opener.

South Carolina and Georgia are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday on the Bulldogs’ turf.
