Nyland Green is heading elsewhere after spending 3 seasons at Georgia.

Green has plenty of experience under his belt and 2 years of eligibility left. He played in 24 games from 2021-2023 for the Bulldogs. Green accounted for 12 total tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and 2 passes defended during that time.

This season, Green forced a pass breakup and had 2 tackles in a home win over UAB, and he contributed to a tackle for a loss of a yard in SEC win at Vanderbilt.

The Bulldogs’ 2024 class has 3 more defensive backs verbally committed. The class includes 5-star commit Ellis Robinson IV and 4-star commits Damello Jones and Ondre Evans.

The soon-to-be former Georgia defensive back was a highly touted prospect out of high school.

Green was a 5-star corner in the 2021 class. He hails from Covington (Ga.) Newton. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 4 CB and No. 8 prospect from the state of Georgia.

He received SEC offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, and Ole Miss.

It’s worth noting that current Oregon coach Dan Lanning recruited Green. Lanning was the defensive coordinator in Athens from 2019-2021.
