Former Auburn OL commit Drew Bobo announces college destination

Former Auburn offensive lineman commitment Drew Bobo on Monday announced where he will be playing collegiately.

Bobo, who re-opened his recruitment after his father, Mike, was fired by Auburn as its offensive coordinator, posted on his Twitter account that he has pledged to Georgia. He is expected to sign on Wednesday when the Early Signing Period opens.

Drew Bobo, considered a 3-star recruit by 247Sports, grew up in Athens while his father was part of the Bulldogs’ staff under Mark Richt as quarterbacks coach before adding offensive coordinator duties. Mike Bobo, of course, was a former Bulldogs quarterback and was college roommates with Kirby Smart.
