Over the weekend, ugly allegations surfaced that Georgia baseball player Adam Sasser had used a racial slur toward Georgia QB Justin Fields during the game against Tennessee.

On Wednesday, the Bulldogs announced that Sasser had been dismissed from the team over the alleged incident.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, Sasser took to Twitter to issue an apology, as you can see below:

Noticeably, Fields wasn’t mentioned in the apology, so we’ll see if there’s a followup that addresses that.

For now, though, the Georgia football team is moving on to Vanderbilt, and Sasser will try to earn forgiveness for the words he allegedly said on Saturday.
