Isaiah Wilson has had a troubled start to his NFL career, but the former first-round pick out of Georgia has reportedly landed with a new NFL team.

Wilson has had a variety of off-the-field issues that led to a trade from the Tennessee Titans, which picked him in the first round, and a release from the Miami Dolphins. Now he is signing with the New York Giants, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Wilson worked out with the Giants earlier this week, and he’s expected to join their practice squad.

The Titans selected Wilson with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, but a host of issues disrupted his rookie season. Wilson played just 3 offensive snaps in one appearance with the Titans.

He’s had a list of issues since the NFL Draft, and NJ.com documented them:

It’s been a strange start to Wilson’s NFL career since being drafted in the first round out of Georgia to say the least. He missed most of training camp last year on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, was arrested for DUI in September, went back on Reserve/COVID-19 until October, was suspended fora violation of team rules in December and then was put on the Reserve/NFI list for the rest of the season. He only played one game for the Titans.

He then was arrested in January after a high-speed chase in Georgia; in February, he wrote a post on Twitter that he was done as a Titan, and then he was soon after traded to the Dolphins for a seventh-round pick.
