Jimbo Fisher didn’t exactly leave Florida State on a high note.

The former Seminoles coach left the program having was just 5-6 before leaving for Texas A&M at season’s end. It was a long way to fall after FSU kicked off the season as the No. 3 team in America.

So how long will it take to get the Seminoles back at that level? According to Georgia commit Trezmen Marshall, Willie Taggart’s program is still a ways off from that.

Here was what Marshall told the AJC’s Dawg Nation about his unofficial visits to FSU:

“You can just tell by going up there to talk to the (FSU) players. They aren’t focused on winning a championship just yet. They want to play football. Everyone wants to play football. You can say that about everybody, but I’m focused on going to a place with a bunch of players who are focused on winning a championship.”

They definitely have that at Georgia, which Marshall committed to back in April.

He also added this interesting comment about FSU:

“I don’t like coaching staff there but I love the head coach. That’s the best head coach that I have been talking to and have met. That’s what I have seen so far.”

But he later cleared that up with a tweet:

Trezmen is the No. 10 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 97 player overall in the 2019 class. He has offers from virtually everywhere, including FSU obviously.

The Homerville, Georgia native told Dawg Nation that he keeps flip/flopping FSU and Tennessee as his third school while Auburn is No. 2 on his list.

But if championships really are Marshall’s main focus, he might not be flipping his commitment off Georgia anytime soon.
