During the second quarter of Saturday’s Georgia-Tennessee showdown, Bulldogs wide receiver George Pickens committed one of the dumbest penalties you’ll see in college football.

Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano ran out of bounds on the Georgia sideline, and Pickens, who was on the sideline at the time, approached the signal caller to trash talk and … squirt water on him. Seriously.

The Vols quarterback then threw a 27-yard touchdown to put UT up temporarily 21-17 on the same drive.

Here’s video of the incident:

Georgia went on to throttle the Vols in the second half 44-21, but that penalty cost the Bulldogs, and it can’t happen next week against Alabama.

Kirby Smart was asked about Pickens’ penalty after the game.

“It’s just disappointing. It’s silly behavior,” Smart said. “It’s immature, just like two guys running down to celebrate with Jalen Carter. That cost us a Tennessee game already once. What are we thinking? We show that once a year to talk about when you buddy scores, celebrate on the sideline with him. When somebody comes out of bounds and you squirt water at them, what are we? Are we 7, 8 years old? I mean, come on. Let’s play football. Let’s don’t be silly.”
