Georgia RB coach Dell McGee is one of the best recruiters in all of college football, and Georgia’s backfield success in recent years shows that.

This offseason, the Bulldogs rewarded the top assistant handily, giving him a $200,000 raise and boosting his overall salary to $550,000.

Now, according to OnlineAthens.com, he also has a new title. In addition to being the RB coach, the media guide has him listed as an assistant head coach:

Running backs coach Dell McGee now is assistant head coach under Kirby Smart, according to Georgia’s just released 2018 football media guide.

McGee wasn’t the only assistant to earn a raise after last year’s SEC title season that ended with a loss in the national championship game.

For now, everyone in Georgia seems to be happy, but if the Bulldogs continue to have success, coach Kirby Smart may lose some of his assistants to bigger roles with other schools.
