With the 2017 recruiting class close to being signed, sealed and delivered, Kirby Smart and company are hard at work toward building Georgia’s 2018 class. The latest addition comes via Florida linebacker Donovan Georges of Hialeah.

News of Georges’ commitment was first reported by Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.

“It was an honor for me to tell them I’m going to be a Dawg,” Georges told Bartow. “It’s been my school since I was 12. They play in the best conference in the country.”

The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Georges ranks as a three-star prospect and the No. 15 inside linebacker recruit in the nation for 2018. Georgia now has three 2018 prospects currently committed to its 2018 recruiting class, with Georges joining four-stars Max Wray and Adam Anderson.

Judging by the early returns, anyone thinking Kirby Smart’s recruiting success was an aberration after landing such a highly-rated 2017 class look to be sorely mistaken.
