Georgia has officially announced its captains ahead of Friday’s matchup against the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate in Rivalry Week.
Representing the Bulldogs in that capacity for the final regular-season game of the year will be quarterback Carson Beck, offensive lineman Tate Ratledge, outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss and linebacker Smael Mondon.
Beck has been a strong point of leadership for the Bulldogs all season, frequently commended for what he brings to the tables intangibly as a teammate. He has also been one of the top prospects in the nation at his position, currently posting a 65.1% completion rate with 3,132 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Ratledge has been a welcomed addition back since he recently underwent TightRope surgery, and both Chambliss and Mondon have been key to the team’s defensive effort.
Chambliss tallies 34 combined tackles (21 solo) and 5.5 sacks to this point in the season. Mondon comes into the regular-season finale with 29 combined tackles (16 solo), 1 sack and 3 passes defended.
With the Bulldogs highly favored in this one, it should be a solid way for Georgia to head into the postseason on a high note. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in Sanford Stadium.
Georgia will then look to the SEC Championship Game up next on the schedule on Dec. 7.
