Georgia basketball is having a big Saturday of acquisitions as Mike White continues to work on rebuilding the roster for the 2022-23 season.

In a third commitment of the weekend, the Bulldogs landed a transfer pledge from Mardrez McBride out of North Texas. A native of Augusta, Georgia, McBride started his career in the JUCO ranks before two seasons at North Texas.

Over the past 2 seasons, McBride has made 60 starts for North Texas and shot 40% from 3-point range. Last season, McBride averaged 11.3 points per game with 3 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 42% from the field and 39% from 3-point range.

Along with McBride, Georgia also landed a transfer pledge from Syracuse big man Frank Anselem. Anselem spent two seasons with the Orange.

The Bulldogs also landed a late commitment from a 4-star prospect via the class of 2022 in 6-foot-8 forward KyeRon Lindsay. It will interesting to see how the roster shakes out to start the season.
