Georgia basketball’s 14-game losing streak to Kentucky has been snapped.

The Bulldogs were trailing Kentucky 62-61 when they inbounded the ball with 3.6 seconds left. PJ Horne bobbled the pass but recovered to get off the go-ahead basket. With only 1.6 seconds left, the Wildcats tried a long shot that didn’t go in.

The SEC Network shared how the final 3.6 seconds went down in Athens:

John Calipari’s squad is struggling this season, but beating Kentucky – regardless of record – is still a big victory for Tom Crean’s hoops program.

The SEC Network broadcast recognized Horne as the player of the game, though it was senior forward Andrew Garcia who led UGA in scoring with 16 points in the win.

UGA improves to 9-4 while UK falls to 4-9 on the 2020-21 season. The Dawgs will look to keep the momentum going in a Saturday matchup against Florida.
