Jack Podlesny had a great debut season taking over for Rodrigo Blankenship in Athens this season but he saved his best kick for his final attempt of the season.

Named a 2020 Lou Groza Award semifinalist after converting 10 of 13 field goals and all 37 extra points leading up to the Peach Bowl, Podlesny had never attempted a game-winning kick for Georgia.

He never hit a field goal as long as 53 yards, either.

Both those things changed on Friday as Podlesny nailed this game-winner to lead Georgia to a 24-21 win over undefeated Cincinnati (Georgia scored on a safety immediately after Podlesny’s kick to push its advantage to three points instead of just one).
