Georgia is battling for victories on the field right now, as the 2nd-ranked Bulldogs enter the home stretch of the season with all of their College Football Playoff hopes right in front of them.

But on Tuesday they got a different kind of victory, on the recruiting trail, as 4-star wide receiver Vance Spafford from the 2026 class committed to the Bulldogs. Spafford isn’t big by SEC standards, as he’s listed at just 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, but the product of Tustin, California, is a big get for Georgia.

After all, Spafford chose Georgia over the likes of Ole Miss, the Bulldogs’ opponent on Saturday, as well as Oregon and Nebraska.

“All Glory To God, Go Dawgs!!” he said, via Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Spafford, the No. 74 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking, was spotted in Athens less than a month ago for the Mississippi State game.

“Like they say, when you know, you know,” Spafford told On3. “I definitely felt it right after we left the facility to go home from Georgia. I wanted to take my time because I didn’t want to just react off of emotion. I just wanted to make sure. And my feelings kept stable for about three weeks, and I was ready to make the move.”

Fans can get a preview of what he brings to Athens by checking out his highlights in the video below:
