Georgia’s secondary is set to lose some depth with the news that Otis Reese has reportedly entered the transfer portal.

Matt Zenitz of AL.com reported: “Source: Georgia defensive back Otis Reese has entered the transfer portal. Former four-star recruit. Was rated as the 87th-best overall player in the 2018 recruiting class within the 247 Composite rankings.”

During the 2019 season, Reese saw action in all 14 games and finished with three total tackles, including two tackles against Arkansas State. In 2018, he played in 11 games. Reese was also ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker nationally as a recruit.

Reese’s news follows other announcements from the Georgia secondary, including J.R. Reed leaving for the NFL Draft, and S Richard LeCounte III and CB Eric Stokes both returning to Athens. Junior defensive end Malik Herring also said he would return.

The offense is a different story, though. Solomon Kindley joined junior left tackle Andrew Thomas and redshirt sophomore right tackle Isaiah Wilson as Bulldog offensive linemen who have announced they would leave for the NFL Draft, along with junior RB D’Andre Swift.
