Star Georgia defensive back Javon Bullard announced that he would be competing in the Bulldogs’ Orange Bowl bout with Florida State, although he still does not know if he will return for his senior season or enter the NFL Draft.

Bullard was rated at a 3-star recruit out of Milledgeville, Ga. in the Class of 2021, but he quickly rose up the ranks in Athens. After appearing in six games as a freshman, Bullard broke out with a 46 tackle, 7 tackle for loss and 2 interception campaign in 2022, and he earned Defensive MVP honors in both the semifinal win over Ohio State and the championship victory over TCU. He followed that up with more tackles (55) and pass breakups (5) in 2023, earning AP All-SEC Second-Team honors.

If he does declare, Bullard figures to be one of the first cornerbacks off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft given his coverage skills, collegiate production and experience in playing within a program like Georgia.

Bullard and Georgia are set to square off against unbeaten Florida State at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
