When you read about Georgia heading into the 2020 season, most predictions are similar — great defense, question marks on offense.

Indeed, with a new quarterback, a few new offensive linemen and new top backs in the backfield (not to mention new OC Todd Monken), the offense might lag behind the defense early in the season.

However, Georgia’s star DL Jordan Davis said the Bulldogs don’t think the defense will have to carry an inept offense. After Wednesday’s practice, Davis said there’s been good competition at practice:

“We always have faith in our offense, and we’re not really looking at it that type of way. We are just looking at it as a good on good competition. We have our best guys going against their best guys—just good competition all around at practice.”

Will the offense indeed be able to carry its share of the weight this fall? We’ll find out starting with the Dawgs’ Week 1 game at Arkansas on Sept. 26.
