One Georgia DL was reportedly cited this week for speeding in the latest off-field issue for the Bulldogs this offseason.

According to Marc Weiszer with The Athens Banner-Herald, Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was reportedly cited for speeding Monday morning at 9:34 am in Franklin County near Lavonia according to Major Chris Looney of the Franklin County Sherriff’s office. That citation had Ingram-Dawkins doing 90 MPH in a 70 MPH zone.

On the same day, Ingram-Dawkins was reportedly arrested Monday afternoon and booked in the Clarke County Jail on a warrant for failing to appear in court. That warrant stemmed from a previous citation in Athens per Weiszer.

Ingram-Dawkins’ Monday citation is the latest in a string of driving-related incidents for Kirby Smart’s program this offseason. He had been summoned to appear at the Athens-Clarke County Municipal Court on July 11 in relation to a 2022 citation for “parking for persons with disabilities.”

Kirby Smart addressed the string of traffic incidents while at SEC Media Days last week. While Smart did say he’s “disappointed” with any traffic incident, he claimed the program does not have any increase in traffic incidents compared to previous years. Smart also said, “If someone’s going to have a speeding ticket, it shouldn’t be a super speeder.”
