Georgia has made SEC history.

With the Bulldogs win over Georgia Tech Saturday night, they have now won 29 games straight, breaking the record for the longest win streak in SEC history.

The previous record was held by 2 different Alabama teams. Gene Stallings won 28 games straight from 1991 to 1993, and Bear Bryant won 28 straight from 1978-1980. Now, Kirby Smart and Georgia hold the longest win streak.

The Bulldogs have not lost since the 2021 SEC Championship game against Alabama.

Across its 29-straight wins, Georgia has won 2 SEC Championships and 2 National Championships, along with a handful of College Football Playoff Games. But the Bulldogs also notched some impressive regular season wins along the way, like their win over No. 1 Tennessee in 2022 and a dominant win over Ole Miss this season.

Now Georgia is looking to make it 30 straight games to the team that it last lost to. The Bulldogs will face off against Alabama in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta next week, where a win would undoubtedly secure them a spot in the CFP.
