The Georgia Bulldogs were thought of as a shoe-in for the SEC East title and a darkhorse College Football Playoff contender, but those expectations took a drastic hit following a stunning 38-20 loss to the Florida Gators.

As a result, the ‘Dawgs dropped all the way down to No. 17 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and Amway Coaches Polls.

Georgia is the lowest of the five ranked SEC schools as the conference has three teams —Mississippi State, Auburn and Alabama — ranked in the top five.

At No. 17, the Bulldogs are proceeded by Oklahoma at No. 16 and followed by UCLA and Clemson at spots 18 and 19.

Georgia will look to move back up in the rankings with a road game against Kentucky next Saturday. The Wildcats have lost three straight conference games.
