5-star signee Xavian Sorey discusses recruiting unsigned Georgia target to join him in Athens

Georgia inked a stellar 2021 recruiting class on the 1st day of the Early Signing Period on Dec. 18, but more recruits could be signing with the Bulldogs when the traditional signing period opens on Feb. 3.
They have their sights set on Terrion Arnold, a 4-star recruit ranked as the No. 5 safety in the country. Arnold is still mulling his options as Georgia ranks as a finalist along with Alabama, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M.
It helps that Arnold is close to one of the Bulldogs’ big-ticket signings, IMG Academy linebacker Xavian Sorey. With the 2 having discussed playing together in college, and with Sorey now officially in the fold for Georgia, its chances of landing the Tallahassee defensive back may be that much higher.
And Arnold will indeed be signing with the Bulldogs if Sorey has anything to say about it.
“I am definitely going to recruit ‘T’ to join me at Georgia,” Sorey told DawgNation. “He’s got to come. He’s got to come to Georgia. Just because we are both from North Florida. But I don’t know, he’s wild with everything and what he wants to do. I don’t know what he is going to do, but I am really going to try to get him.”
With Arnold set to take an official visit to Athens, Sorey expects to be front and center to give him the full rundown.
“That’s my boy,” he said. “We [are] just going to be talking to him for real. I feel like we are going to have a good shot to get him. I know that we are close to getting him. For real.”
