Georgia has been historically good for the past few seasons, and now the Bulldogs are inching closer to breaking a historic streak in the AP Poll.

Georgia was ranked No. 1 again this week, marking its 19th-straight week at the top spot dating back to October of last year. The Bulldogs received just 38 of 63 first-place votes after the bye week, which is their second-lowest total of the season, but it was still enough to keep them at the No. 1 spot over Michigan.

Now Georgia’s streak is the 3rd-longest ever. The Bulldogs steak is only behind Miami’s 21-week streak from 2001 to 2002 and USC’s 33-week streak from 2003 to 2005.

Georgia is hoping to keep that streak alive next week as the Bulldogs take on Florida. While Florida has found some success this season, the game should be an easy one for the Bulldogs and they should win the game handedly.

But after the game against Florida, Georgia will have a test ahead of it against Missouri. The Tigers are off to a hot start to the season and will be looking for an upset over Georgia.
