A 2023 offensive lineman out of Alabama has decided to back off his pledge to Georgia and reopen his recruitment. Ryqueze McElderry tweeted Saturday that he has decommitted from the Bulldogs.

The Anniston (Alabama) standout committed to UGA back on Nov. 30, 2021. Since then, McElderry picked up scholarship offers from Auburn (Jan. 26) and LSU (March 3). He has visited Alabama (March 5), Georgia (March 19, June 10) Auburn (March 21, May 27) and Tennessee (March 26, June 17) this year.

McElderry is listed at 6-3, 340 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 22 Alabama recruit, No. 25 IOL and No. 406 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. He has picked up 15 scholarship offers during his recruitment.
