The Georgia Bulldogs entered the SEC Tournament as the No. 12 seed, but they looked like a team that can go a long way in the tourney with a big 78-62 victory over Vanderbilt on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs got things started in St. Louis by taking a big lead in the first half and never taking their feet off the gas pedal as they cruised to the next round, where they’ll face the Missouri Tigers.

Senior F Yante Maten had another big day, scoring 25 points and grabbing four rebounds against the Commodores. Teshaun Hightower added 13 points and six assists, while Rayshaun Hammonds had 10 points and eight boards.

Riley LaChance led the way for the Commodores, scoring 17 points and picking up five rebounds in what was likely his final game as a Vanderbilt player.

Now, the Bulldogs have a quick turnaround, as they have to take on Mizzou on Thursday night. Making matters even tougher is the fact that the Tigers will have star forward Michael Porter Jr. back in the mix for the first time since the season opener.
